I see lots of shops selling Male bettas but no female bettas. Where do u get female bettas? And do u need to take up the male after they hv mated. And how do u know if they have mated. TQ!!!
easy to breed beta. its easy to find female beta as well. There is so so many. i think every where.
Just notice that female beta have a white spot under the body.
To breed then its some more easy.
1) put to 2 separate bottle let them see each other for a round 1 week. 2) Then you only you mix them together 3) few day you will see there is bubble. 4) Then you wait and see ... there will be a lot of egg is the white bubble. 5) i forget which one should take of the male/female. 6) The one which is under the bubble is protecting the egg. Just leave it take of the other one.
I saw my hometown selling half moon o.. it is really nice looking. very very nice. Then after somedays i go and see again, they already take it to mate lo. haha
i used to breed betta in my 4th year of study.mostly plakat half moon and half moon.then i have to sell all my betta coz im gettin busy for my final year.anway here are some of my betta pic that i breed.
[quote4fc8dd874a="alligator_28"]U keep them all in 1 tank and they don't fight???[/quote4fc8dd874a]
i keep them in one tank when they still small..when they gettin bigger then i'll put them in individual tank..but yeah sometimes u can see them flaring at each other but they never fight..its good exercise for the fish i guess..and also fun to see..ahah..
Got a question why all my bettas are suffering from a desease. All like cannot rest straight. All lean to 1 side and they dun swim well then slowly die. So SAD la. Any advice??

from my experience the fish is sick..something call labyrinth at the fish is not functioning and causing the fish to lean side ways..some sort of balancing for the fish i guess..
u can treat ur betta with yellow powder or 'japan powder'..u can easily find from ur LFS nearby.other then that u can try to put ketapang leaf into the water..maybe 1 or 2 is sufficient but just make sure the leaf is clear from any fungus..
i'll try to update more if i have more info..good luck
